Entering a document
The minimum metadata to report is as follows:
- Reference code
- Classification code (automatically reported when choosing series)
- Documentary series
- Title
- Creation date
- Volume and Support
- Description level (with the fixed value “Simple document unit”)
Receipt of a file
When you want to enter a file, you must provide metadata at the file level and for each of the documents that form part of the file.
The minimum metadata at the file level is:
- Reference code
- File number
- Classification code (automatically reported when choosing series)
- Documentary series
- Title
- Opening date
- Closing date
- Producer name
- Security and access classification
- Description level (with the fixed value “Composite Documentary Unit”)
The minimum document-level metadata is:
- Reference code
- Title
- Creation date
- Volume and Support
- Description level (with the fixed value “Simple document unit”)
This metadata of the document that is part of the file can be reported automatically using a functionality provided by the tool.
