The iARXIU platform offers three ways to add or register a documentary series. In all cases, it is essential to provide the classification code and title to register a series.

Documentary series cannot be registered with a classification code and title that already exists.

Individually through the web

In this case, the user must fill out a registration form:

New documentary series
Fields new series

In bulk by uploading a csv file

New series via CSV

The CSV file must include the following fields and in the order listed:

  • Classification code
  • Original title
  • Description
  • Description level
  • Producer name
  • Internal code
  • Start date (dd/mm/yyyy)
  • End date (dd/mm/yyyy)

Due to the specific instructions of the csv format, the fields must be separated with commas (,). If the content of any of these fields contains a comma, double quotes must be included at the beginning and end of the text.

Automatically during a transfer

Automatic creation of series when the entry is made through the platform's web services. This functionality is designed for those organizations that transfer files through web services and are interested in the iARXIU platform automatically registering the documentary series, if it does not exist, upon completion of the entry using the existing metadata.
