The only way to upload a composite documentary unit (a file or dossier made up of 1 on documents) to the iARXIU website is through a compressed .zip file.
However, the structure that this .zip file must have will depend on the type of documents it contains:
- Composite documentary units containing documents signed with a detached or independent signature
- Composite documentary units that DO NOT contain documents signed with a detached or independent signature
Documentary units composed of documents signed with detached signature
In this case, due to platform requirements, the structure of the ZIP must be as follows: a first level with a folder that identifies the file and within this folder a subfolder must be created for each document that is part of the file. If, in addition, the document incorporates an electronic signature of the detached (independent) type, a subfolder called signature must be created to include them.
This is necessary because the iARXIU platform will have to validate documents that have signatures associated with them, and it is important that these are correctly associated with the documents they sign (independent signatures).
When a user wants to upload a composite documentary unit of this type, they must indicate this before uploading the .zip file. They must select the “rigid structure” option.
Composite documentary units WITHOUT documents signed with detached signature
In this case, it is allowed to upload a compressed .zip file without importing the internal structure it contains. This means that the compressed file can:
- Contain folders or subfolders
- Contain files at the top level or within folders
- No limit on documents or files (within the limits established by the platform)
- If there is more than one document with the same name, this duplication is avoided by adding a numeric suffix ( _1 , _2 , etc.).
Limitation: It is not allowed to include folders or files that have "strange" characters in their names such as accents, punctuation marks, etc. In this case the platform will return an error: "Error extracting files. Check that the files and folders included have names with allowed characters."
When a user wants to upload a composite documentary unit of this type, they must indicate this before uploading the .zip file. They must select the “flexible structure” option.
